American Scissor Lift Inc. is an independently owned aerial equipment rental company who has a proven track record of success in serving our customers for 25 years! We are adding new locations to expand our coverage area and to help better serve our existing customers! Our new Anaheim Ca. location is seeking a working Service Manager to oversee our equipment service department, parts inventory, equipment maintenance and repair and delivery truck maintenance.

Our ideal candidate’s qualifications are;

  • 2+ years Service Manager experience
  • 5+ years mechanic experience in the rental industry
  • Advanced knowledge in all aspects of test, function, troubleshooting, diagnosis and repair of Aerial Equipment
  • Fluent knowledge of wiring diagrams, hydraulic systems, electrical systems and engine related systems
  • Ability to perform B.I.T inspections on tractor trailers
  • Professional conduct with customers and employees
  • Attention to detail in all aspects relating to job duties
  • Clean Driving Record
  • Tools necessary to perform job functions

As a working service manager, this job will require a high level of physical activity, and we will make reasonable accommodations to assist. Field service calls will be performed by the service manager to insure the equipment is in top working order, and our customers are receiving the finest treatment. You will have many other responsibilities including, but not limited to; maintaining our equipment parts inventory, managing hazardous waste disposal, working with vendors and suppliers to accommodate our needs and more. Class A Regional Driver

Anaheim, CA

American Scissor Lift, Inc. is looking for skilled Drivers that have the ability to function well as part of a team. You must have very effective organizational and communication skills to service our clientele efficiently.

Job Description

The primary responsibility of the Driver is to help meet the equipment needs of customers by delivering and picking up equipment in a timely, safe and courteous manner as well as operate a variety of construction rental equipment. The Driver is permitted to operate heavy equipment such as semi-trucks and trailers (“low boys”). We seek highly motivated Drivers with a background in construction and industrial equipment. Knowledge of hydraulics, electronics, gas and diesel machinery is preferred.

Minimum Qualifications & Requirements

  • Must hold a valid California Commercial Class A Driver License
  • Previous CDL Driving experience
  • Must have a driving record in Good Standing. To be in Good Standing, a Driver must present a current DMV printout report with NONE of the violations below*:
    • Three or more other moving violations in the last three years
    • Two or more at fault accidents in the last three years with no moving violations (*Drivers will not be qualified for this position if they fall within any of the 4 categories noted above during the course of employment)

Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to

  • Safely transport equipment to customer locations in a timely, safe and courteous manner
  • Maintain driver logs and complete pre-trip inspections
  • Adhere to all safety requirements particular to the equipment, including Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations
  • Maintain Truck Equipment/Inventory
  • Maintain the service and appearance of the truck
  • Follow delivery/pickup instructions from Dispatcher and Manager
  • Frequent holding and grasping with the hands when loading and unloading equipment and chaining down equipment
  • Frequent use of foot/feet to operate foot pedal/s on equipment and trucks
  • Frequent lifting up to 50 lbs.; occasional lifting up to 90 lbs
  • Exposure to bright lights, extreme temperatures, loud noise, dust, gas and/or fumes
  • Performance of other duties as assigned by the Store Manager

Outside Sales Representative

San Jose, CA

Job Description

  • Communicate with branch personnel to ensure accurate and timely deliveries, repairs, pick-ups.
  • Daily territory management and revenue growth through visits to customer job sites and offices.
  • Work closely with other members of the sales team to achieve company objectives.
  • Make cold calls to solicit new business.
  • Provide OSHA safety training for customers to insure safe operation of equipment supplied
  • Plan and organize business strategies to achieve desired results; Exceed quotas by renting equipment.
  • Perform other duties as requested

Minimum Qualifications & Requirements

  • Proven track record with 1 to 3 years sales experience within the construction equipment industry and/or 3 years’ experience in the related field.
  • Ideal candidate will have direct industry sales experience with construction equipment and specialty attachments.
  • Must have experience in managing projects, new business development, and customer retention.
  • Work and communicate effectively with all levels of the company
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Internet Explorer.
  • Must maintain a professional personal appearance.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and driving record in good standing.
  • 2-4 year degree is preferred, but not required.

Shop Technician III

Stockton, CA

We are looking for an experienced shop mechanic for our Stockton office. This is our corporate facility where all new equipment is delivered from the manufacturer and installed and sent to other offices. We also do all major repairs as well as recondition and repainting of the fleet. This position is Monday-Friday with weekends off and some overtime. The right candidate should have a minimum of 5 years experience working on aerial equipment or hydraulic and low voltage trouble shooting skills. The applicant should also have a clean DMV record and be able to pass a pre-hire drug test.This position will require you to work safely with co-workers as well as by yourself repairing company and customer owned equipment.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $28.00 to $32.00 /hour

Shop Technician II

San Jose, CA

Job Description

  • Maintain all types of rental equipment in fleet
  • Make necessary repairs to both company and customer owned equipment
  • Maintain company service vehicles
  • Perform in-field service as needed to customers
  • Occasional repairs to delivery trailers
  • Occasional small fabrication repairs

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years experience + schooling
  • High school or equivalent
  • Trade School: 1+ year
  • California Drivers License in Good Standing
  • Tools necessary to perform work on a wide range of equipment efficiently
  • Firm understanding of hydraulic, electrical, and internal combustion systems
  • Trailer/ Air Brake experience a plus
  • Fabrication/Welding experience a plus
  • Excellent communication ability
  • Ability to self-start on major repairs
  • Fluent in English
  • Must have the physical ability to work in demanding environments including ability to lift 75lbs+
  • Rental Equipment: 2 years experience
  • Mechanic: 2+ years experience
